United Airlines is set to begin daily flights between San Francisco and Auckland in July 2016. Prices have dropped to as low as $475 USD with American competition levels rising.

Daily service on the Dreamliner
When United Airlines start their daily service from San Francisco to Auckland on July 1, 2016, they will be flying on the state-of-the-art Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

Top Tips in Auckland
- GET OUT ON THE WATER
Auckland is built around the water and there are plenty of options to explore Auckland’s beautiful harbour. Options include a Harbour Cruise, a ferry over to Devonport, a ferry to Rangitoto or Waiheke Island, enjoying a romantic dinner cruise, experiencing an Americas Cup Yacht, up close viewing on a Whale and Dolphin Safari, or the extreme thrills of a Jet Boat Tour. The viaduct harbour where all of these attractions begin is just a ten minute walk from the lobby.
- VISIT AUCKLAND’S WATERFRONT
While going out on the harbour is a must there are plenty of reasons to stay on dry land also. The waterfront has a great variety of top class restaurants with beautiful views and Wynyard Quarter is a great place for a drink or a nice walk. Silo Park has open air movies all summer long, and Viaduct Harbour is also home to the Voyager New Zealand Maritime Museum where you can learn about New Zealand’s seafaring history. A short taxi or a 15 to 20 minute walk will take you to Wynyard Quarter and Silo Park from the hotel.
- GO UP THE SKY TOWER
For the best views of Auckland you can’t beat a trip up the Sky Tower. At 328 metres high, the Sky Tower is the tallest building in New Zealand – and the Southern Hemisphere. Step out of the hotel and you are just one block from the base of the Sky Tower.
- WATCH A RUGBY GAME
Watching the All Blacks play rugby at Eden Park is a right of passage for every New Zealander, catch them playing Wales on 11 June, 2016. Other great matches to see are the Warriors playing at Mt. Smart Stadium or the Blues at Eden Park. Public transport or taxis make it very easy to get to stadiums on match day.
- EXPERIENCE A CULTURAL PERFORMANCE

- VISIT A WEST COAST BEACH

Some of the best places to visit in Auckland are free! The Auckland Domain, 15 minutes walk from the hotel, is in the centre of the city and also home to the Auckland Museum. Mt Eden and Cornwall Park are both close to the city and two of the most impressive volcanic cones in the city, reachable by car in 15 to 20 minutes. On the North Shore in Devonport, North Head is a great vantage point of the city and its World War Two gun tunnels are fun to explore.
Directions from the Airport
Crowne Plaza Auckland is located a short distance from the Auckland International Airport. Journey’s can be expected to take as little as 30 minutes. Here are the four best ways to get to the hotel when you arrive at the airport:
Catching a taxi to the city is extremely easy and the most convenient option. Expect to pay $70-90.

A shuttle is easy to catch and great value. It will stop at multiple locations on the way to the city so is not as fast as a taxi. Supershuttle is $33 per person and $8 for every additional person.
