It’s official, Crowne Plaza Auckland has made the switch from paper to a digital solution at check-in.
We’ve stepped up our green game swapping out traditional paper reservation forms and printed receipts for mounted tablets at our hotel Front Desk.
In the grand scheme of everything, the impact of this digital system is set to impress our guests in more ways than one. Not only will this new system provide a more seamless guest experience, it also ticks the green box, saving countless sheets of paper which would traditionally be printed for every new guest as a part of the hotel check-in & check-out procedure.
As a sustainable movement to work toward reducing our hotel’s footprint, going paperless is set to save approximately 500,000 sheets of A4 paper per year, equivalent to the weight of a rhino (just to put it into perspective).
We can quite proudly call ourselves the first IHG hotel in Australasia and Japan to pioneer the technology, a paperless initiative which we expect to see many hotels adopting in the near future.
