Car Rental

If you are planning to travel in New Zealand, renting a car is one of the best options to explore the island. As an IHG® Rewards Club Member you can earn points when renting your car at Hertz® and save 35% of the car’s base price.

To rent a car with a foreign drivers licence you need to carry an official English translation with you at all times. Prepare yourself for the road conditions in New Zealand and plan enough time for your journey. Be aware that many companies have a minimum age of 21 for renting cars. We offer self-park undercover parking at a cost of $26 per day weekdays and $10 on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays. The car park entry is located on Albert Street, to the right of the hotel forecourt and elevators provide direct access to the lobby where you will be greeted by Crowne Plaza Auckland staff.

Guests are able to get their car-parking ticket validated at reception. Delegates attending an event or conference will have access to discount parking vouchers. During the day, as a casual customer dining in Aria, please take your purchase receipt to the management office on level 5 of the car-park.

Quiet Zone

The Quiet Zone on levels 23 and 24 are dedicated areas where service and maintenance activities are prohibited between 9pm-10am (unless requested by the guest). Families with children are not recommended to stay on this floor to help guests sleep well and wake up feeling their best.


Guests on the Quiet Zone floor are offered the Elemis Quiet Mind Room Mist, a therapeutic, fragrant spray that aids a better night’s sleep including camphor, Eucalyptus aromatic oils and Patchouli.

Can the air-conditioning be adjusted – it is too cold/hot?

Air-conditioning can be adjusted using the control dial in the room.  

Where can I store my bags?

Your bags can be stored with Concierge until you require them.  

Do you have an Umbrella/Adaptor?

Umbrellas and adaptors can be borrowed from Concierge.

Can I get a Newspaper?

The hotel supplies the NZ Herald and this can be arranged to be delivered to your room. Alternatively you can collect one from the Concierge desk.

Can you post my mail here?

Yes – just handover the mail stamped and we can post it for you. We can also organize a courier which can be charged back to your room.

What time is check out?

Check out is 11am and check in is 3pm. Any hour you stay in your room after checkout time, there would be a late checkout fee of  $20 per hour up until 6pm.

Do we have to pay extra for tea, coffee, cookies or other amenities?

Tea, Coffee Cookies are complimentary. Amenities are available at no extra charge.

 If we want an extra bed, rollaway or cot do we have to pay extra?

Baby cots are free and for an extra bed (rollaway) it is $65.



How do I get an outside line? How do you dial an international number?

To get an outside line, lift the receiver of the phone and dial 1, then dial the number you require. For international calling you need to lift the receiver, dial 1 for the outside line, then 00, followed by the country code, the area code and the number. Local and International charges apply.

Where can I access the internet and how much is it?

We understand that while away from home, it is essential to stay connected. In each of our stylish guest rooms, you will find Wi-Fi and wired high-speed internet access. Free Wi-Fi is also available throughout the hotel to all our guests.

Can I have a wake up call?

Yes, we can arrange a wake up call for you. You just need to dial 0 to call our Reception team and they will schedule your wake up call.



Where are the function rooms?

Our function rooms are located on Levels 4, 5 and 6 and you can access these levels via the lifts/stairs.



Where is the closest ATM?

There is an ASB ATM on Level 1 of the Atrium Shopping Centre. There are also ATMs along Queen Street.

How do I get to Queen Street?

The easiest way to reach Queen St is to use the lifts in the Atrium Shopping Centre, exit the lifts on the 2nd floor, and exit the Atrium Shopping Centre onto Elliott Streets. Pass through the small alley way and you would be on Queens St which is the next street from Elliott Street.

How long to get to the airport and how do I get there?

We can arrange a taxi or shuttle for you; otherwise we can arrange a map and detailed directions to the airport for you.

Depending on time of day it would take 25 minutes – 45 minutes, the cost for a taxi would cost approximately $75 – $95. Cost for shuttle is $35 for one person. At concierge, we can arrange that for you.

Where is the Huawei Tower? Where is 120 Albert St?

The Huawei Tower / 120 Albert St, is located between the hotel and the open aired parking on Albert St, and is accessible from Level 4 lobby area.

Where are the nearest shops? What time do they open and close?

Atrium Shopping Centre is just as you exit the hotel lobby entrance. The main street, Queen St, which runs parallel to the hotel, is the main shopping area nearest to the hotel.

What time is the restaurant open?

For Breakfast, Aria Restaurant opens at 6.30am – 10.30am

For Lunch , Aria Restaurant opens from 12pm-2pm

For Dinner, Aria Restaurant opens from 5.30pm – 10.30pm.
