Sightseeing in Auckland City

There is so much to see and do in Auckland and below we have listed a few of the places we think you should see.


Sky Tower

Visit Auckland’s Sky Tower, located only a block away from Crowne Plaza Auckland. At 328m high, it is the tallest man-made structure in New Zealand and offers amazing views for up to 80km in every direction. For the more adventurous there is also the option to jump off the tower with the SkyJump or walk around the edge at 192m up with the SkyWalk.

Viaduct Harbour

For great outdoor dining and vibrant nightlife head to Viaduct Harbour where you can cruise the harbour on a charter yacht, learn more about New Zealand’s maritime history at the Maritime Museum, or enjoy the hospitality at one of the many restaurants and bars, only a few minutes walk from Crowne Plaza Auckland.

Auckland War Memorial Museum

Auckland War Memorial Museum tells the story of New Zealand, its place in the Pacific and its people. The Museum is a war memorial for the province of Auckland and holds one of New Zealand’s top three heritage libraries. It has pre-eminent Maori and Pacific collections, significant natural history resources and major social and military history collections, as well as decorative arts and pictorial collections.
