It's been 4 long winter months since our last long weekend, and there’s no denying it's the break we have all been waiting for.

Labour Weekend, 20-22 October 2018

With Labour Weekend just around the corner, it’s time to lock-down those weekend plans, because it’s not every day we get the luxury of a 3-day weekend. Most Aucklanders will be escaping work on Friday and hitting the roads early in the hope of beating the holiday traffic, but who’s to say that Auckland isn’t the place to be this Labour Weekend? From live music to cultural events and entertainment, Auckland will be nothing short of vibrant this Labour Weekend. 

Auckland Diwali Festival 2018

The annual Diwali  “Festival of Lights” celebration attracts thousands of people of all ages to Auckland’s Aotea Square.  This festival celebrates traditional and contemporary Indian culture through the senses of taste, sound and sights. Enjoy live music and dance performances, spice up your taste palettes with a large range of tasty Indian foods to try. In fact, did you know that Diwali is also New Zealand’s largest vegetarian food festival? If you’re heading along on Sunday evening, be sure to stick around to catch a glimpse of the fireworks display set to light up Auckland’s sky.

Skycity Breakers Vs Sydney Kings

On Sunday, New Zealand’s Breakers and the Sydney Kings will be hitting the court and dunking it out as they compete in the 2018/19 season of the NBL championship. If you are looking for a bit of ‘Sunday Funday’ sports action, be sure to get tickets & cheer on the home team.

Sunday Jazz In the City

Inspired by the Melbourne city laneways and the Snickelways of York in the UK, our own Snickel Lane puts its chill vibes and artsy self on show.  Head on down and grab a bite to eat and a coffee and relax to the smooth jazzy tunes in the vibrant laneway surroundings. Tucked between Fort Lane and Commerce street, Snickel Lane see’s Auckland’s coolest laneway precinct grow another arm.

Mocktober Labour Weekend Special

Home of New Zealand’s live comedy, the Classic comedy club is turning 21 in October and is celebrating with a month of comedy in Mocktober. An annual sell out, the Labour Weekend Special will feature guest hosts and 10 new comedic pros in this quickfire 2-hour comedy showcase.

Labour Weekend Concert with Tommy Pickett
